Science Laboratories at BAVN School are designed to encourage and kindle curiosity of the students. Experimental science is entirely based on accurate observation recorded in the laboratories using proper instruments. Each laboratory is provided with enough working area, storage, preparation room and a separate room for the Subject Head. Special care has been given to the safety aspects in the laboratories. With the highly sophisticated and fully equipped laboratories and the wisdom of experienced faculty, the students will stand to benefit immensely in the pursuit of scientific excellence.
Built according to modern architectural design, Physics Laboratory of the school is equipped with all the latest lab apparatus. The lab is multi-faceted for students of XI-XII to nurture their technical skills. Their theoretical knowledge is put into practice by making the students experiment on topics like optics, measurement, electricity etc under the guidance of qualified teachers and trained lab assistants. The experiments carried out with intricate details here remain forever in the young minds once imbibed. The entire functioning is done as per standardized safety norms.
The Chemistry Laboratory of BAVN provides a platform for students to nurture the budding scientist within them. The laboratory is furnished with latest hi-tech interactive smart boards for a virtual real life learning experience.
The Lab is provided with the state- of- the art devices like- Fume hood, Distillation unit, Electronic weighing machine, Bunsen burners, beakers and flasks. Concealed gas line and the safety devices such as Firefighting equipment, first- Aid Kit etc. The acids and other reactive chemicals are stored in separate locked cupboards as a further precautionary measure. The students are provided with separate workstations with individual burners and plug points. The apparatus includes the common place strikers, mortar and pestle, clay triangles, watch glasses, crucibles, crucible tongs, chemical spoon, stirring rods, filter funnels and a variety of stoppers.
BAVN vaunts an intricately designed Biology Laboratory planned to meet the demands of the advancement in science and technology. The marble worktops are heat resistant and storage cabinets are easily accessible. The laboratory apparatus ranges from simple slides, test-tube, petridishes to the composite microscopes of varying powers to observe samples and organisms closely. They are high-powered, extremely expensive, and sensitive pieces of equipments that can make even the smallest part of a single cell seem clear. All the microscopes with digital eyepieces and built in cameras are a great way to preview live colour digital images directly from microscope to the computer via a USB port.
Besides the aforesaid the laboratory also has charts, models and specimens meant for demonstrations. The exhaust system efficiently sustains a comfortable environment in the room even while performing experiments requiring chemicals that let out fumes.
As the nature of Computer Science and Engineering has a never-ending cycle of innovation rooted in it, our focus is on increasing the standard of the teaching and learning to gain international importance in academics. For instance, the ‘RAMANUJAN’S KIT’ has all the components with which every important concept and formula can be proved practically. It enables the teachers to demonstrate and reinforce Mathematical concepts.
Hence, it helps in mental enhancement in areas of Math like Algebra, Arithmetic, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry etc.
Activity Room for nursery classes is equipped with various learning materials and playing equipments where children enjoy their stay & learning in school. It is a sort of learn while play theme where students develop various physical and motor skills.
Learning fluent English is essential for any communication and also the grammatical English for future prospects of any child. Hence the school has an English Language Lab for the students grading from 1st Std.
